| Union membership is beneficial for individuals for multiple reasons.
One such reason is job opportunity. With a jurisdiction that covers Allegany and Garrett counties in Maryland
as well as Mineral, Grant, Hardy, Hampshire, Morgan, Berkeley, Jefferson, and Pendleton counties in West Virginia
and over 100 current signatory contractors who employ members of Local 1024, opportunities for work are increasing each year.
Another reason is the apprenticeship program and continuing education and certification opportunities.
Currently, certification classes available to members include Blue Prints, Metal Studs, Optaline Plus, and First Aid/CPR.
